Fairest of the Fair

Kelsey Henderson grew up strongly rooted in agriculture on her family’s farm in Union Grove.  She graduated from Union Grove High School in 2020 and is a senior at Iowa State University, majoring in Agricultural Business with a Marketing Option and Entrepreneurship Minor. At Iowa State, she is actively involved on campus in a variety of extracurriculars throughout her major, college, and campus.

She has held several professional internships at CNH Industrial and John Deere as she works towards a career in the agricultural industry that truly impacts the industry that helped raise her.  Kelsey can trace her passion for community involvement and agriculture from many years showing livestock, actively participating in Yorkville 4-H for over 11 years, and serving as a founder and inaugural student for the Union Grove FFA Program that started in 2017.

Kelsey’s favorite week of the year is undoubtedly the Racine County Fair, as it is a family affair where she has learned many important life lessons, met her life-long friends, and created memories that she will cherish forever. She has yet to miss a day of the Racine County Fair in her life, and that isn’t stopping anytime soon. She loves to share her passion with others and educate everyone about the agricultural industry and Racine County Fair. She believes that the Racine County Fair and the people involved have made her who she is today, and is excited to be serving as the 2023 Racine County Fairest of the Fair as an advocate for Racine County, the Racine County Fair, and the people that make it the place it is.
